WE ACTUALLY *GET IT*
For most of us, sexuality plays such a major role in our lives influencing our identity, self-esteem, relationships, and inner peace. Your expectation of sex may have been that it would feel pleasurable, freeing and connected. Instead, it’s a huge weight that occupies your mental space and blocks your ability to feel at ease in your own life. You thought expressing your sexuality would come naturally. Nobody told you it could cause so much grief. To make matters worse, your friends or partner just don’t seem to *get it.*
THIS FEELS
INSURMOUNTABLE AND
YOU KNOW THAT IF YOU
COULD FIX THIS
PROBLEM, SO MUCH
STRESS WOULD BE GONE.
Your sex life has become a source of pain and your self-worth is partially (or fully) tied to that.
Sexuality has become a source of shame that’s blocking you from flourishing in other areas of life (relationships, career, self-care, creativity, intuition, etc).
You’re working through a trauma (sexual or otherwise) and you just cannot get past it and move on to exploring other chapters of your journey.
You want sex that feels connected, sensual and *fun* but that hasn’t been your experience and you have no idea where to start.
Most of all, you just want sex to add to your life instead of take away from it.
THAT'S NOT SUCH A TALL ORDER.
(EVEN IF YOU FEEL LIKE IT IS.)
And it definitely doesn’t have to continue feeling this way. Healing Exchange coaches are experts in sex, trauma, and relationships. So we’re here because we know that sexuality is a big pain point for a lot of folks for a variety of reasons. We also know that can change with better education, support, and guidance. Quite frankly, spaces like this aren’t too common! When you work with us, you’re coming to a place where people not only see you, validate you, and know exactly what you’re going through, but are also invested in your improvement. We have the knowledge and now it’s time to pass it along so that you don’t waste years figuring it out alone. (Been there. Wouldn’t recommend.) We’ve centered our work in pleasure and so we take pride in providing a coaching experience that’s compassionate, fun and shame free. Work with us and you’ll be supported into becoming a better version of yourself.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERAPY AND COACHING?
Therapy and coaching are both services tailored to supporting you on your specific wellness journey. Therapy focuses on healing symptoms of a mental health diagnosis such as clinical depression or bipolar (hence why it’s regulated by geographical location and, unlike coaching, can be covered by insurance). In other words, it aims to rectify what is wrong or ailing. Coaching, on the other hand, seeks to elevate your life so that it becomes one you absolutely love living. If you think of wellness as a spectrum, therapy fixes what’s actively causing pain or dysfunction whereas coaching is what propels you from mediocrity to excellence. Remember: Just because things aren’t bad doesn’t mean it’s going well. There’s a huge difference. So is your sex life just fine or is it awesome? Is your sexuality something you feel is merely acceptable or are you flourishing when it comes to expressing yourself as a sexual being? These are the questions to ask. Coaches help you level up rather than settling.

You’re not afraid of commitment. If you start today, six months from now, you’ll feel lighter. Years from now, you’ll be in a totally different place. You get that.
You’re the type of person who is interested in personal growth. You take the classes, you read the books, you attend the sessions. You’re not just going through the motions.
You know it’s time to do something different. Same approach? Same habits? Same self-talk? Same results. You need a change. It’s time.

WHY COACHING AND NOT THERAPY?In therapy you’re often working through a specific mental health diagnosis which needs treatment. Coaching is more like the support you need in order to grow into a better you. Just because things aren’t bad doesn’t mean it’s going well. There’s a huge difference. Through our coaching sessions, we help you flourish.
-
I’VE NEVER WORKED WITH A COACH. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?Our coaches are all kind, open, and non-judgemental. You lead the way! Tell us why you’re here, what you hope to achieve, and let us know your boundaries. During the first session we want to know not only where you’ve been but where you want to go. We’re focused on the future – your best future self!
-
IS COACHING COVERED BY INSURANCE?No. Because it’s not rooted in rectifying a diagnosed mental health issue, coaching is not covered by your insurance provider the way that therapy is. For clients who prefer to spread out the costs of their sessions, payment plans are available through PayPal when you head to the checkout. This enables you to get started on your healing journey while managing the costs in smaller, more feasible increments.
-
CAN’T I JUST READ A BOOK OR GET SUPPORT FROM MY FRIENDS?You could. We definitely encourage openness, communication, research, and utilizing available resources to facilitate growth. Working with a coach is a way to validate your struggles and expedite a process which could take years of trial-and-error on your own. Plus, we have the expertise to identify the root issues more effectively. We truly understand the complexity of issues pertaining to sexuality and we have accumulated the tools to correct them.
-
WHY SHOULD I WORK WITH YOU AND NOT ANOTHER COACH?All of our coaches have proper training and experience to support clients through a variety of issues related to their sexuality. Each member of the team brings a different approach and skillset to the table whether it’s mindfulness coaching, an extensive background in sex therapy, therapeutic movement practices, or healing through creativity. With all of that said, we always encourage you to work with whoever you trust and connect with the best. We’re all doing great work.
-
HOW DO I KNOW IF THE ISSUES I WANT TO DISCUSS ARE RELEVANT?When you come to a session, there’s no right or wrong topic or issue to discuss. If it’s impacting you, then it’s relevant and we’ll help you work through it. As always, no judgment.
-
DO I HAVE TO DISCUSS PERSONAL DETAILS ABOUT MY PAST?No. Never. This is your space, your time and your healing journey. The truth is, your past influences your today. So it’s likely that your past will come up in some way. But know that we provide a safe and compassionate space where what you choose to share is entirely up to you.
