Service Description

Do you feel connected or detached from your body? When you walk past the mirror, what thoughts come up? What do you do when you’ve told your kid to ‘stop’ for the 10th time? How do you react when your child does something scary? Where do you feel the most aligned with your partner these days? What is your reaction when your partner touches your waist? Every birth experience is unique and being so sometimes means it was stressful and created distance from connection, sensuality, and intimacy from yourself, your baby, and your partner. Traumatic experiences may explain why we respond in ways that feel hurtful to those around us, why we feel frustrated with ourselves, and why we no longer feel connected to our sex life. As you may know, the concept of gentle parenting is getting a lot of buzz and love right now. And for good reason, we are in an era of deep reflection and drastic change in how we live our lives. But what does it mean to focus our energy on supporting our children to be compassionate, confident, patient, and understanding if we do not practice and model that ourselves? This workshop series holds space for that complex experience because we don’t talk about it enough as we should, or at all! But to have the relationships that we want – with ourselves, our children, and our partner – we have to feel into it, we have to be embodied. Because the way we feel in the moment, what we experience internally, can completely change what we do externally. So, when your kid does the scary thing, you soothe yourself before reacting. And you smile at yourself in the mirror as you touch your belly. You reach out to connect with your partner without fear of rejection. Join us in exploring the other side of what it looks like to be a gentle parent and lover – present, embodied, and attuned. Here are the objectives for this series: -Understand that the impact of trauma is felt by the entire family. -Explore embodiment to create more inner self awareness. -Discover how movement is used to create the experiences you desire. -Feeling calmer and more confident in your parenting and reactions. -Envision a new intimate relationship where you are both parents and lovers. ***There will be movement and music for the practices/exercises. ***Changes for new parents will be discussed but parents of all stages and ages are absolutely welcomed! Note: Payment plans can be set up during checkout via PayPal.
